About the MonkeeMods

Usage:
Installation of these files is only necessary if you wish to host a MonkeeMod (MMmod) or if you want to play them offline.
These installation instructions are provided specifically for use in PsychoScrum League 8 (PSL8) and for its members.
Installation should be fairly straight forward, but if for any reason you do not understand or you have any questions, please contact MonkeeMan or Reagent X before attempting the installation.
Use of the PSL8 Map Pack is not limited to members of PSL8. Any individual may use and/or host these maps.

File: PSL8_MapPack.zip

This file is a zip file and must be downloaded and uncompressed. It will generate a folder called: missions. This is a complete ThinkTanks "missions" folder, and it contains all the necessary files for hosting the approved MMmods for the PSL8 season.

The "missions" folder contains:

Original missions folder (this folder is a backup of Bravetree's original files)


Installation:
WARNING!! The included files have been pre-named for use with ThinkTanks. Proper installation of these files will overwrite the "missions" folder and all original and/or modded files contained within. You MUST make a copy of your ThinkTanks game BEFORE installing the PSL8 Map Pack.


1. Make a COPY of your entire ThinkTanks program folder. Rename the new ThinkTanks application something different like: ThinkTanksPSL8. Your Original ThinkTanks game will remain unedited and will retain all your current files. The Copy will become your modded version for use in the PSL8 Season.


2. Navigate through the folders in your PSL8 Copy of ThinkTanks until you find the missions folder.

Note (MAC OSX):
Control Click on the ThinkTanks Application icon. Select "Show Package Contents" from the menu. Locate the Contents\Resources\game\data\ folder.

Note (Windows):
The file locations will vary depending on where ThinkTanks was installed. They should be located in a folder such as c:\Program Files\Bravetree\ThinkTanks\game\data\.


3. Replace the "missions" folder with the "missions" folder provided in the download for the PSL8 Map Pack. You should get a warning saying that another folder with the same name already exists and will ask if you would like to replace it. Select yes.


That is it. You have now successfully installed the PSL8_Map_Pack®. The original 12 maps have been replaced with MMmods and can be hosted like normal using the create server function in Thinktanks or by creating a dedicated server.
